About Haithem | ياهلا مع هيثم
Host, storyteller, and influencer behind Ya Hala
Sharing useful guides and uplifting Arab American stories that help people discover places, support businesses, and work together.

My journey
I am a Syrian Arab American who came to the United States from Saudi Arabia as a refugee. I brought experience in accounting, business management, and business consulting. Today, Ya Hala is my full-time work.
I started Ya Hala in 2021 because I wanted social media to be healthier, more useful, and more beneficial to the community. My earliest videos guided people to parks and places around Tampa.
A video I made about a local shawarma business went viral. The attention helped the business and showed me how one constructive story could create real momentum. That response inspired me to keep building the channel.
Knowledge and practical guidance about cities, parks, places, businesses, and community life.
Honest stories about how people started, overcame challenges, and built something worthwhile.
A closer look at the character, hospitality, values, and diversity of Arab American communities.
Everyone is welcome
To me, Ya Hala means everyone is welcome. I want the channel to connect Arabs from different countries, religions, generations, and life experiences around the values we share.
My goal is not only to entertain. I want to repeat useful ideas, celebrate good examples, challenge prejudice, and encourage people to support one another and take action.
